Tyler Flinchbaugh shares his practicum experience:
One of the coolest sections of this program is the practicum, where all the cohort members split into groups to work with companies throughout the Puget Sound. What makes this awesome is that this is the time of the year where you apply what you have learned from MAMSSM in real time, and the recommendations each team creates actually influence the way a company conducts itself.
My group is working with Health Resource Services (HRS), which is a subsidiary of Virginia Mason. Additionally, this company is also an affiliate of another larger company, and HRS is not consistent with its brand in all of its applications, which makes it confusing for employees and customers to understand who this company really is. My group is conducting surveys with employees and customers, learning about the industry, creating mock logos, researching branding, and devising a recommendation for HRS to help unify the brand and increase its recognition in its industry.
